Liquidation
If the value of your collateral falls far enough relative to your loan, your position can be liquidated. Part or all of your collateral is then sold to repay the loan, and you may lose it.
Tokenized stocks
xStocks are tracker certificates issued by a third party. They follow the price of an underlying share but are not shares, carry no shareholder rights, and depend on the issuer and its custodians.
Prices outside market hours
xStocks trade on-chain around the clock while the underlying exchanges close. Prices on weekends and overnight can move sharply when markets reopen, and oracle prices may lag.
Smart contracts and oracles
The protocol runs on smart contracts and relies on price oracles. Software can contain bugs, and oracles can fail or be manipulated. Either can cause losses.
Network
Solana can experience congestion or outages. During those periods you may be unable to repay, add collateral or close a position in time.
