Plain answers to what people ask most.
xStocks are tokens on Solana that track a US share or ETF, such as Apple or the S&P 500. They are tracker certificates issued by xStocks and backed by the underlying shares, according to the issuer. They are not shares: they carry no voting or other shareholder rights.
You deposit xStocks as collateral and borrow USDC against them, up to each asset's maximum loan-to-value. Interest accrues while the loan is open, and Lendly takes a one-time 1% fee from each borrow. Repay, and your collateral is released. Loans run on Kamino Lend's xStocks market; Lendly is the interface and never holds your assets.
Kamino Lend's on-chain program on Solana. Your loan is an account owned by your wallet; Lendly builds the transactions and you approve each one. You can also see and manage the same loan on Kamino directly.
Your loan-to-value rises as the collateral is worth less. You can add collateral or repay part of the loan at any time to move back to safety. If the loan-to-value crosses the liquidation threshold, part of your collateral can be sold to repay the loan.
Liquidation is the sale of part of your collateral to repay your loan when its value no longer covers the loan with enough margin. It protects lenders, and it can cost you part of your position, so keep a comfortable distance from the threshold.
xStocks trade on-chain around the clock, while the underlying exchanges close at night and on weekends. Prices can jump when markets reopen, and oracle prices may lag. Borrow with that in mind.
